Next Steps

Now that you have completed the module, you need to do one of the following activities to complete the requirements for your weather merit badge:

1. Make an instrument (anemometer, rain gauge, thermometer, wind vane) and keep a daily weather log for at least a week.
2. Visit a National Weather Service Office.
3. Give a five minute talk to a group, explaining outdoor safety rules in the event of lightening, flash floods and tornadoes.
4. Read articles about meteorology and climatology and prepare a talk to give to a group.
5. Find out about a weather-related career and explain to your counselor about the training, education and responsibilities required for the job.
