Leaf Wetness and Irrigation
A large portion of time, energy and money goes into irrigating (watering) agricultural plants. Data from the leaf wetness sensor can be used to control automated irrigation systems, to prevent overwatering or underwatering of crops.
- Overwatering can deplete oxygen levels in the soil, which can lead to diseases in the root system.
- Underwatering can lead to slow growth, poor production and the eventual death of crops.
