Degree Days

• A degree day is not a day at all, but a measurement of heating or cooling.
• Degree days can be used as a tool to plan timing for planting crops and to help with pest control management.
• There are three different types of degree days:
  1. Cooling Degree Day (CDD)
  2. Heating Degree Day (HDD)
  3. Growing Degree Day (GDD)
