Effects on Livestock

American consume more than 37 million tons of meat annually. An increase in temperature could mean an increase in heat stress on livestock. With warmer temperatures, heat stress on livestock could increase making animals more susceptible to disease, reduction in milk and meat production and a drop off in fertility rates.
