Solar Eclipse Safety

Viewing a solar eclipse is an incredible sight, however, looking directly at the Sun can permanently damage your vision or cause blindness. Human eyes are susceptible to light, and even sunglasses will not provide proper protection.
Here are a few options to safely view a solar eclipse:
- Wear eclipse glasses with special solar filters
- Look through telescopes, cameras, and binoculars with approved solar filters
- Create a pinhole projector by punching a small hole in a piece of cardstock or cardboard and watching the projected image of the Sun
- Use a pair of binoculars as a projector by leaving a lens cap on the unused side and project the Sun onto a piece of paper
