A land breeze is the opposite of a sea breeze. Around sunset, the temperature differences between the land and water begin to fade as the land cools off. Once the temperature of the land and the water are the same, the sea breeze circulation stops. When the temperature of the land drops below the water temperature, the thermal circulation changes direction and the wind blows from the land to the ocean, creating a land breeze.
