What About Rain?

Because stock car tires have no tread, there is nowhere for water to go if the track is wet.
Cars could aquaplane, or ride on top of the water creating less control and an unsafe situation.
To keep drivers and fans safe, NASCAR races are usually delayed or canceled if it begins to rain.
In the picture above, blowers are used to dry the track so the race can continue.
