Farming and Weather

Almost all of the food we eat is grown or raised on a farm. The weather is important to farmers because it helps them know when to plant and harvest crops.

Most of the crops we grow in Florida do NOT do well in cold weather so it is important to plant and harvest them before the temperature gets too cold.

Crops and Rain

Also, all crops need water to grow. If there is not enough rain, farmers must water their crops with hoses. This can be expensive, so it is best to have crops growing when there is a lot of rain.
