Precipitation falls in different amounts in different areas and during different seasons. The "Precipitation" view of the map below shows average precipitation for a year. Which areas get the LEAST amount of precipitation (red)? Which areas get the MOST precipitation (dark blue)? Find a partner and discuss the types of Biomes and how they relate to where precipitation occurs.

  2. About how many inches of precipitation do rainforest biomes get?
  3. Describe the climate where you live. Explain how much precipitation your area receives and the plant communities that make up your biome.
