Temperature can be measured using either Celsius or Fahrenheit. Investigate the comparison below as well as the math used for converting between the two measurements.
Multiply the Celsius temperature by 9. Divide the answer by 5. Add 32.
Example: 100°C (100 × 9 ÷ 5) + 32 = 212°F
Subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit number. Divide the answerr by 9. Multiply by 5.
Example: 212°F (212 - 32) ÷ 9 × 5 = 100°C
Only three countries in the world use Fahrenheit to measure temperature – The United States of America, Myanmar, and Liberia. All the other countries use Celsius for temperature measurements.
