Measuring Wind: Anemometers
Anemometers are instruments that measure wind speed. These instruments can vary in appearance, but most contain multiple panels or cups that capture, or resists, incoming air.
This device is attached to a rod that can then interpret the wind in one of three units:
- miles per hour (mph)
- knots (kts)
- meters per second (m/s)
