Wind Direction: What does it mean?
After the passage of a front, the wind directions can shift drastically. These shifts are a good indicator of the type of air mass that is moving into an area. In the Northern Hemisphere, this generally means that:
Wind from the southern directions brings warmer temperatures.
Wind from the northern directions brings cooler temperatures.
