Who Measures the Earth’s Climate?

In addition to individual scientists working all around the world, The International Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) is an organization of scientists and government representatives from around the world tasked with surveying and understanding the Earth’s current climate and recent climate changes. The organization was established in 1988 by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). As of 2015, the IPCC has released 5 comprehensive assessment reports that investigate the state of the Earth’s climate and climate change. The most recent report can be found here: http://www.ipcc.ch/
