Rain

Rain is liquid precipitation that falls to Earth, condensed from the water vapor in the atmosphere. Rain drops range in size from 0.02 to 0.25" in diameter. The typical speed of a falling raindrop with calm winds is between 7 and 18 mph.

Drizzle consists of very small raindrops (less than 0.02") and appears to float while following air currents, but unlike fog droplets, it falls to the ground. Quite often fog and drizzle occur together.
