The myth that cold weather makes you sick is just that - a myth.
Rhinoviruses are the most common viral infectious agents in humans and are the most predominant causes of the common cold. Rhinoviruses (from the Greek ‘nose’) typically peak during the spring and fall when colder weather provide an environment for them to thrive.
The same is true with Influenza, which typically peaks during the winter months. Flu experts believe rapid swings in temperatures can weaken the immune system.
