Two students heard about the oil spill in the Gulf and began talking about it. This is what they said:
I think the spilled oil will dissolve in the water. Water dissolves everything. Ones it dissolves in the water, you won’t be see it and it won’t hurt any animals.
I think the spilled oil will not be able to dissolve in the water. Oil is very different from water, so it will sit on top of the ocean. It will be easier to see and clean up. But animals that have to come to the surface to breath or birds that float on the water will get oil on them.
