Lightning

Lightning is the most dangerous of weather conditions that may affect fireworks shows.
Lightning is a static electric charge in the atmosphere.
Unlit fireworks can be lit by stray lightning strikes and ignite on the ground. This can be very dangerous for people standing nearby.
Spectators can be at risk for lightning related injuries if they are outside during storms.
The Southeast United States, including Florida, have more lightning than anywhere else in the continental U.S.
