Currents and Heat Transport

Currents and wind transport heat from the tropics, where there is a surplus of energy, to the poles, where energy is deficient. Nearly 40% of this energy transport happens in the Northern Hemisphere. Without this transfer of heat, the climate of the world would begin to change over time.
