Climate Forcing
A climate forcing is something from OUTSIDE the Earth system that causes the Earth’s climate to change. The most common type is radiative forcing, which influences the Earth’s energy balance. A positive forcing causes the Earth to warm, and a negative forcing causes the Earth to cool.
