Citrus is the most grown fruit in the world. Brazil, China, the United States, Mexico, India and Spain are the world’s top producers of citrus.There are two main markets, or reasons, for citrus production: fresh fruit and juicing.

The United States is 2nd to Brazil for orange production and one of the top producers in the world for grapefruits. In the U.S., citrus is grown in CA, FL, AZ, TX and HI. Oranges for consumption are grown in CA, AZ, and TX. Most of the oranges used for juicing are grown in FL.
