At most locations, the winds blow more frequently from one direction than others. These prevailing winds are represented by a wind rose, which indicates how often the wind blows from certain directions as a percent. The different colors show the range of wind speeds from each direction. Wind roses can also be used to determine the primary wind directions during certain weather events. Look at the data from the WeatherSTEM stations during Hurricane Matthew, and answer the following questions: Which directions has the wind been blowing from the most? What color do you see used the most? What is the wind speeds for that color?
