The Yadkin–Pee Dee Watershed is a large river basin in the eastern United States, covering around over 14,000 square miles, across three states. The headwaters start near Blowing Rock, North Carolina, and the basin drains to the Atlantic Ocean in Winyah Bay, east of Georgetown, South Carolina. The watershed covers many geographical areas, starting at the Appalachian Mountains and the North Carolina Foothills, including a small portion of Carroll and Patrick counties in Virginia, continuing through the central Piedmont area, into the Sandhills region and Coastal Plains. Some large rivers flow within the Yadkin–Pee Dee watershed, totaling 5,946 linear miles of river through the region.
