Lightning Safety
When Indoors:
Stay away from windows and doors.
Stay inside! Porches are not safe.
Avoid plumbing, including sinks, showers, and bathtubs.
Avoid contact with concrete floors or walls.
Stay away from electrical devices.

When Outdoors:
When lightning is present, go immediately to the closest substantial building
If your only option for shelter is in a vehicle, make sure the windows are up and all doors are closed.
If no shelter is available, the following may reduce your risk:
Seek the lowest elevation in the area.
Move out of and away from bodies of water.
Stay away from objects that could conduct electricity (Metal fences, power lines, etc.).
DO NOT lie flat on the ground
DO NOT seek shelter under a tree
