U.S. Weather Models

These are the main forecast models used for predicting weather in the United States:

NAM (North American ) Forecasts out to 84 hours Updated 4 times a day Short term forecasting
WRF (Weather and Research Forecast) Forecasts out to 84 hours Updated 4 times a day Short term forecasting
RUC (Rapid Update Cycle) Forecasts out to 12 hours Every hour Current weather

There are other forecast models out there run by different nations, such as Canadian model (GEM), United Kingdom model (UK Met) and the European Model (Euro) for weather prediction. There are also models that are only run for forecasting the track and intensity of tropical cyclones.
