What Do The Data Say? Tree Growth

Recall that trees grow more quickly in warmer, wetter climates. By examining tree rings and tree cores, we can get clues about the climate at the time when the trees were growing. This graph represents growth data from many trees in Northern Europe dating back to the 1400s. As you examine the graph, think about the climate that might cause trees to grow more or less and when those times might have been.
