Corn Belt

No area in the world equals the production and high yields produced in the US Corn Belt. The thirteen states that make up the Corn Belt, which accounts for 82% of the production of corn in the US, have the perfect combination of ideal soils and climate.

The top corn-producing states are:

  • Iowa (the largest producer of corn)
  • Nebraska (known as the Cornhusker State)
  • Minnesota (corn is the largest crop produced in the state)
  • Illinois
  • Indiana

Let’s explore how the climate and soil composition help the corn yields in this region.
