Rainfed Agriculture

The term rainfed agriculture is used to describe farming practices that rely on rainfall for water. Worldwide, rainfed agriculture is practiced in almost all hydroclimatic zones. In temperate regions with relatively reliable rainfall and productive soils and the subhumid and humid zones of tropical areas, rainfed agriculture can have some of the highest yields.
