Battle of The Bulge - 1944

German troops struck the Allied defenses near the Ardennes in Belgium.
The weather, low-lying thick cloud cover, prevented Allied Forces from using planes to help support the attack against their infantry and the area temporarily fell into German control.
When the weather broke, the Allies launched a counterattack and drive the Germans back from the region.
