Composition of a Tennis Ball

The balls are standardized in size, weight, deformation and bounce criteria.

Tennis balls are filled with air and are surfaced with felt-covered rubber. This felt delays the flow of air over the surface of the ball and reduces the aerodynamic drag, which gives the ball better flight.
