Heat Index
Heat Index (HI), sometimes called apparent temperature, is the measure of how hot it feels when the actual air temperature is combined with the relative humidity.
HI values were devised for shaded areas and light wind conditions. Exposure to full sunshine can increase HI values by up to 15°F.
