A single thunderstorm can produce over 1,000 lightning strikes. In September of 2015, a thunderstorm near Tallahassee caused the delay of the first Florida State Football game of the season. By the end of the whole ordeal, WeatherSTEM measured 1,437 lightning strikes released 25 million amps of electricity within 20 miles of Doak Campbell Stadium.
