WeatherSTEM Fusion: Rainfall and Rain Rate

Extreme rainfall can cause flooding problems, depending on the amount of rainfall that falls in a set amount of time. Rainfall rate is a measure of the intensity of rainfall. This variable is measured by calculating the amount of rain that would fall over a given time interval if the rainfall intensity remained constant over that period of time.
